A Florida power of attorney authorizes a representative to take control over and manage a person’s affairs. The appointee may be required to handle health care decisions, financial matters, property transactions, taxes, or guardianship. The form must be signed by the principal (person granting authority) and in many cases, will require witnesses and notarization.
