A Colorado firearm bill of sale provides written documentation that a gun sale was completed. In all cases, the seller must arrange a background check on the buyer through a licensed arms dealer before completing the deal and recording the transaction. The gun can only be delivered after the buyer successfully passes the background check or three days after its initiation, whichever is later.
