A Washington motor vehicle power of attorney (Form TD-420-050) authorizes a representative to perform vehicle transactions on behalf of the owner. The form requires the motor vehicle or boat’s manufacturing information (make, model, year) and the principal’s contact details and driver’s license or ID card number.
Signing Requirements – The vehicle owner must have their signature notarized or signed in front of a vehicle licensing agent and certified.
Release of Interest – If the vehicle has a lien on its title and is being transferred to a new owner, the document must also include the lienholder’s name, business title, and signature, which must be notarized or certified.
