A Michigan subcontractor agreement is a written contract that defines the working relationship between a subcontractor and the contractor that hired them. The agreement establishes the responsibilities of the subcontractor, such as labor, materials, and equipment, obtaining liability insurance, maintaining licenses, permits, and certificates, and implementing their own methods and procedures for accomplishing the services.

While the subcontractor has a right to use their own methods, they are still bound by the agreement to do so in accordance with industry standards and within the timeframe detailed in the document. The agreement also specifies the amount of compensation the subcontractor will receive, start and end date of the contract, termination options, and other key aspects of the arrangement.
