A Michigan non-disclosure agreement is used when an individual or entity shares confidential information with another party to forbid them from disclosing it with anyone else. Otherwise known as an “NDA,” this document helps protect information about a company’s business operations, methodologies, patent applications, marketing plans and other trade secrets that would harm the business if it got into the hands of its competitors or the general public.

Legal action in the form of a cease and desist or an injunction may be necessary if one party breaches the terms of the agreement.
