A Washington non-disclosure agreement is a contract that prohibits trade secrets and other proprietary information from being disclosed without the owner’s consent. The parties can establish a “unilateral agreement,” wherein one party shares confidential information, or a “mutual agreement,” in which both parties are bound to the confidentiality terms. In both cases, the document is only enforceable if the information is not widely known or accessible to the public.
