Michigan Subcontractor Agreement

A Michigan subcontractor agreement is a written contract that contains important components of the relationship between a contractor and a subcontractor. The agreement helps define the working relationship between the parties by establishing the responsibilities of the subcontractor, such as obtaining liability insurance, maintaining licenses, permits, and certificates, and implementing their own methods and procedures for accomplishing the services.

While the subcontractor has a right to use their own methods, they are still bound by the agreement to do so in accordance with industry standards and within the timeframe detailed in the document. The agreement also specifies the amount of compensation the subcontractor will receive, the subcontractor’s duties (i.e., labor, materials, equipment, travel, etc.), start and end date of the contract, termination options, and other key aspects of the arrangement.
