A Minnesota subcontractor agreement is a document that establishes a working arrangement between a contractor and a subcontractor. This arrangement is an exchange of services performed by the subcontractor on a project managed by the general contractor for financial compensation. The contractor and their client have a written agreement in place as well that the subcontractor is bound to; i.e., they are to complete the work in accordance with the client’s wishes as well as industry standards.
A subcontractor agreement outlines important terms and conditions such as a list of services, payment information, start and end dates, termination, and insurance. The contract also states that the agreement does not create an employer-employee relationship between the parties.
