A Utah subcontractor agreement is used to outline the business relationship between a subcontractor and a general contractor hiring them to help finish a job. Completing the form ensures both sides understand their duties and rights, including whether the subcontractor may hire additional workers, who may terminate the contract early, and who will provide equipment and transportation. The agreement also serves to hold the client and contractor harmless of any loss or liability that developed as a result of the subcontractor’s services performed under the agreement.
The subcontractor should also note that by entering into the agreement, they will need to operate in accordance with the terms set in the initial contract made between the contractor and the client.
