A West Virginia subcontractor agreement is used to detail and transfer a specific task within a general contractor’s main project to another party (the “subcontractor”). The form will establish the subcontractor’s payment terms, whether they will be responsible for their own equipment/materials, and their rights and duties under contract. By signing the form, the subcontractor will assume responsibility for damages, lawsuits, or costs that arise from their actions.

If forces outside of the contractor or subcontractor’s control (e.g., power outages, accidents, natural catastrophes) occur during the course of work, the agreement will ensure neither party will be liable for delays or failure to complete the assignment.
