An Alabama 7-day notice to quit is delivered to a tenant who has not paid rent on time. There is no grace period in Alabama; therefore, this notice may be sent to the tenant the day after rent is due. The tenant will have seven (7) business days to pay the rent in full plus any late fees. If the tenant cannot pay, they must vacate the premises. Failure to leave the property after the notice period will result in an eviction suit.
