The Oklahoma 5-day notice to quit is delivered to tenants who haven’t paid rent on time to relay that the landlord is giving them five (5) days’ notice to pay the overdue amount or leave the property. The document also states that the landlord will pursue legal action if the tenant does not comply with the terms of the notice. If the tenant is able to pay the landlord within the five (5) day period, they can continue their tenancy without penalty. Otherwise, they must move out to avoid an eviction lawsuit being filed against them.
