A Maine multi-member LLC operating agreement is a legal document used to set forth the policies and structure of a limited liability company comprised of multiple owners. As LLCs without an operating agreement will be compulsorily governed by default state rules, companies that create the document can choose to organize their company framework, operating procedures, and member responsibilities in a manner selected and agreed upon by the owners.
While there is no requirement for LLCs to create an operating agreement, it is recommended as the agreement holds the company responsible for debts, liabilities, and obligations rather than the individual members.
