North Carolina non-disclosure agreement establishes terms that prohibit the unauthorized use of proprietary and valuable business information shared from one party to another. Individuals may encounter a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) when exposed to a company’s business strategies, product designs, profit margins, or other material revealed to them in confidence. Signing the agreement obligates the recipient of confidential material to refrain from disclosing the information to anyone else.

The NDA remains in effect until the material covered by the agreement becomes public knowledge or the owner of the information gives written notice to the other party releasing them from their confidentiality obligations.
