Texas Statutory Durable Power of Attorney Form

A Texas statutory durable power of attorney provides a way for Texas residents to give a representative the authority to handle their financial matters. The completed form will relay the general and specific powers the resident (the “principal”) grants their agent. This authority will not be affected by the principal’s incapacity or disability.
Signing Requirements
A durable power of attorney must be signed by the principal and notarized.[1]
