An Alabama commercial lease agreement allows a landlord to establish terms with a tenant for the renting of commercial property. Commercial agreements will be set for a fixed term with an average length of three (3) to five (5) years. The tenant will commonly request renewal periods in anticipation of succeeding at the location, enabling them to extend the lease should they wish to do so. When the parties reach a mutual agreement over the lease conditions, they should sign the document and, while not required, have their signatures authenticated by a notary public.
