90-Day Notice Requirement
Landlords are legally required to provide 90 days’ notice in the below situations.
- Termination of a month-to-month tenancy for a rental unit in Portland or Milwaukie.[1]
- Termination of a month-to-month tenancy that lasted for more than a year and:[2]
- The landlord is selling the unit to a buyer who is planning on moving in;
- The landlord or their family is planning on moving in; or
- The rental unit will be demolished or substantially renovated, making the unit unfit for living in during the work.

OREGON 90-DAY NOTICE TO TERMINATE MONTH-TO-MONTH TENANCY

You are notified that the rental agreement signed on [MM/DD/YYYY] for the leased premises listed above is hereby terminated in ninety (90) days, effective [MM/DD/YYYY].
On the day the Tenant(s) move(s) out of the premises, both the Landlord and Tenant(s) should walk through the rental to perform a move-out inspection.
The Tenant(s) agrees to arrange for all utilities to be turned OFF upon vacating the premises. If the Landlord would like to transfer the accounts to their name, they should inform the Tenant(s) as soon as possible.
