Oklahoma Concealed Carry
In Oklahoma, it’s legal for a person to carry a concealed firearm in public without a license as long as the individual is at least 21 years old and has not been convicted of a felony.
Gun owners can apply for a handgun permit with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), which gives them the ability to concealed carry in states that honor the permit.
The following steps must be completed to obtain an Oklahoma handgun permit[2]:
- Complete firearms safety and training class.
- Complete the Application for Self-Defense Act License or use the online application system.
- Obtain 2 passport-sized photos.
- Bring the application form (or summary sheet if the application was completed online) and photos to the county sheriff’s office.
- Pay the required application fees.
