Oregon Concealed Carry
To legally carry a concealed weapon, residents other than state/federal officers or active service members must carry a Concealed Handgun License.[3]
Residents can apply for a handgun license by following the steps below.[4]
- Complete an approved concealed handgun or firearms safety class (this online course meets the criteria).
- Visit the website of their county sheriff’s office.
- Download the concealed handgun license application form (the form varies by county).
- Make an appointment with county sheriff’s office.
- Visit their county sheriff’s office, present valid ID, and hand over the application form and required application fees. If approved, the applicant will receive their license within 45 days.
