Massachusetts residents who wish to carry a concealed firearm must obtain a License to Carry (LTC).[4] Residents who want to apply for the license must be at least 21 years old.

Every first-time applicant must complete either a Basic Hunter Education Course or a Certified Firearms Safety Course.[5] A course completion certificate must be submitted with the Residence Firearms License Application, identification, and the application fee to the applicant’s local police station.
