Concealed Carry Michigan
Individuals must hold a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) to carry a concealed handgun in Michigan.[4] To obtain a license, residents must apply in person at their local county clerk’s office. The application process requires[5]:
- A completed Concealed Pistol License Guide and Application.
- Proof that the applicant has completed a pistol safety training course.
- A passport-style photograph.
- The payment of applicable fees.
- A set of fingerprints (taken after application is submitted).
The county clerk will inform the applicant of the status of their application within 45 days of receiving their fingerprints.
