Oregon Boat Registration

All motorboats, and sailboats over 12 feet long, require registration and titling.[1]

Registration must be done within 30 days of purchase, after which the buyer will be charged late fees.[2] To register a vessel, new owners must carry out the below steps.

  1. Prepare the originals of the following documents (it is recommended that the buyer makes copies for their records).[3]
  2. Submit the documents and applicable title and registration fees in person to an OSMB agent or via mail to:
