Maryland Concealed Carry
To carry a concealed weapon, residents must obtain a Wear and Carry Permit.[4] Before applying for the permit, the applicant must complete a mandatory 16-hour training course with a qualified handgun instructor.
Permit applications are done online via the Maryland State Police Licensing Portal. Applicants should also be prepared to provide:
- A fingerprint transmission receipt from an approved fingerprinting service.
- A passport-size color photograph.
- An instructor signed Certified Qualification Score Sheet with a passing score.
- Payment for the application fee.
