A New Mexico boat bill of sale is used to mark the transfer of ownership of a boat from a seller to a buyer. A bill of sale can also be used as proof of ownership when the buyer applies for title and registration.

New Mexico Boat Registration

All motorboats are required to be registered in New Mexico once ownership has transferred to a new party, and if they’re over 10 feet, they must also be titled.[1] Both registration and titling must be applied for within 30 days to avoid late penalties.[2]
