How to Format

Layout

  • The deed must be printed with black ink on white paper measuring 8.5 by 11 inches.
  • All margins must be at least 0.5 inches, and the first page must have a blank space of 3 by 5 inches in the top right corner.[1]

Signatures

A completed deed must be signed and acknowledged before a notary public.[2]

Recording

Once prepared, the deed must be filed at the County Recorder’s Office (filing fees vary per county).[3]
