A Florida 24-hour notice to enter is a document notifying a tenant that the landlord plans to enter the rental unit in 24 hours. The notice must state the reason for the entry and the date and time it will take place. The notice is often used before presenting the unit to prospective buyers, to access the premises for repairs, or in advance of routine inspections.

In Florida, 24 hours is considered sufficient notice for a landlord to access a dwelling, which must occur between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm.

Other Access

A landlord can access the unit without the tenant’s consent if the tenant is absent for a period of time equal to half of a rental payment period. However, they will need to obtain their consent if the rent is not overdue and the tenant notified the landlord that they’d be away.
