A Colorado notary acknowledgment is an official verification form signed and sealed by a notary public confirming the authenticity of an individual’s signature on a document. In order to get an acknowledgment, the signatory must appear before the notary, present identification, have the notary review the document and witness their signature, and receive a certificate with the notary’s signature and stamp.
A notary public can hold a term of office four years before renewal (§ 24-21-521(6)).
