An Arkansas general bill of sale is used as proof of purchase for the sale of personal property in a private transaction between a buyer and a seller. The document will need to include a description of the item being sold, the price paid, and both parties’ contact information and signatures. By signing the agreement, the buyer agrees to accept the seller’s personal property “as is” and will not be able to hold the seller liable for any defects found at a later date. A signed bill of sale gives both the buyer and the seller security against any dispute over the item’s condition, price, and ownership.
