A Kentucky general bill of sale is a type of receipt used to convey the sale of personal property from a seller (individual or business) to a buyer. This document contains all pertinent sale information to prove ownership was transferred from one party to the other. A generic bill of sale includes space for the personal information of the seller and the buyer, the items that were sold, the total sale price, and the signatures of both parties. If necessary, the seller can sign the document in front of a notary public to increase the bill of sale’s authenticity.
