A Maryland general bill of sale enables two (2) parties to a transaction, the buyer and the seller, to document the sale and maintain a copy for their records. This form can be used to detail a purchase and sale of any personal property. The general bill of sale has all the necessary components to record the sale; blank spaces for each party’s personal information, a description of the personal property sold, the total sale price, and the parties’ signatures. Once completed, the bill of sale can be used to prove ownership was transferred from the seller to the buyer, and that the buyer waives the seller’s liability for any defects after the transfer is complete.
