Missouri General Bill of Sale Form

A Missouri general bill of sale is a form executed for the purposes of recording a transaction between a buyer and a seller involving personal property. It is not legally required to record the transfer of personal property. However, a generic bill of sale is useful because it enables the buyer to prove that ownership of the property was transferred to them. Furthermore, this document could benefit the seller because by having a record of the transfer of ownership, they relinquish any liability with regard to future defects. To complete the bill of sale, the parties will enter their personal information, and the seller will write a description of the property being sold and the total sale price.
