South Carolina Concealed Carry
South Carolinians can legally carry a concealed weapon if they have a valid Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP). To get a CWP, individuals must be 21 or older and have passed a firearms training course.
Applicants can apply for a CWP online at IdentoGO or follow the below steps to apply by mail.
- Complete the South Carolina Concealed Weapon Permit Application.
- Attach two completed and signed fingerprint cards to the application.
- Gather necessary documentation:
- Photocopy driver’s license or ID card
- Proof of residence
- Proof of actual or corrected vision (if driver’s license isn’t attached)
- Proof of handgun training
- Mail the application and required documentation to the following address:
