Recording Details

  • Signing Requirements – Signatures on a quitclaim deed must be acknowledged by the grantor or proved by a witness before a notary public or other officer.[1]

  • Recording fees – At the time of writing, recording fees are $10 for the first page, $5 per additional page, and a $3 surcharge.[3]

Formatting Requirements

A deed document filed with the county recorder must have a 1″ margin on the top and 0.5” on all remaining sides.[4]
