Signing Requirements
A DNR order must be signed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant.[1]
An Ohio do not resuscitate form is a medical order that states an individual’s instructions regarding CPR and emergency care. Once signed, it authorizes medical personnel to withhold CPR and other interventions. The form must also indicate whether the patient wishes that the DNR orders apply immediately or only after their breathing or heart stops.
