A Delaware independent contractor agreement documents the business arrangement in which a self-employed individual (the “contractor”) will provide their services to an individual or company (the “client”) in exchange for payment. The completed document will relay the services that the contractor is being hired to provide, how much they will be paid for the completion of said services, and the date by which the work must be completed.

If expenses will be provided or liability insurance required, those terms must also be written into the contract. In addition to acting as a written record of the arrangement, the document ensures that the services will be provided and payment made as agreed upon.
