An Alabama subcontractor agreement is used to lay out the terms and conditions for hiring a subcontractor to complete a specific task for a general contractor. A subcontractor is a self-employed professional that offers a set of specialized services in exchange for one-time or regular payments. Unlike the general contractor, the subcontractor’s obligation is to the contractor that hired them, not the client.

The agreement clarifies how the subcontractor will be compensated, the service(s) they’ll be performing, the contract duration, and what they’ll be responsible for providing (e.g., equipment, materials, labor). Once signed, both parties will be bound to the terms of the document until the project is completed or the agreement is terminated.
