An Alabama independent contractor agreement is a form that is used for outlining the business relationship between a contractor and the company or individual that hired them. It helps the parties understand their obligations to one another and provides guidance on the services requested, payment arrangements, and how the contract ends.

A contractor, also known as a “freelancer,” is a person that performs services under their own name, without any employees. This can include building contractors, mechanics, content writers, and attorneys. Being non-employee workers, they aren’t bound by any of their client’s workplace rules and standards. Other than project-wide requirements, management cannot control the specifics of how a freelancer works.
