A Hawaii subcontractor agreement is used by contractors to assign a portion of a larger project to another individual or company (the “subcontractor”). The completed document will outline the duties, liabilities, and responsibilities of the subcontractor, as well as the terms of their payment. Unlike the contractor, who will be wholly responsible for the work completed under their original contract with the client, the subcontractor will only be liable to the contractor. Furthermore, through the completion of this agreement, the client and contractor are indemnified from any loss or liability that comes as a result of the subcontractor’s work.
