A Florida 3-day notice to quit is an eviction notice stating that a tenant has failed to pay rent on time in accordance with their lease. The notice gives the tenant the opportunity to remedy the situation by paying all rent owed or vacate the premises within three (3) days. If they do not pay or quit the property, the lease agreement terminates and the landlord may file an eviction suit against the tenant. The lease will not terminate if the tenant pays rent within the 3-day notice period.
