A Georgia lease termination letter is a notice form used to terminate a month-to-month rental agreement between a tenant and a landlord. This type of notice does not require that the terminating party give cause for canceling the contract. A lease termination letter can be used by a landlord to notify a tenant they intend to end their lease agreement and vice versa. However, a landlord must give a tenant sixty (60) days to vacate the premises once this notice is delivered, whereas a tenant is only required to give the landlord thirty (30) days’ notice.
