The Louisiana 5-day notice to quit for expiration of term is an eviction letter for tenants who continue to occupy a rental unit after their lease expires. This notice may be delivered immediately following the expiration of a fixed-term lease so long as the lease doesn’t include a condition for automatic renewal. Once the tenant receives the notice, they will have an additional five (5) days to stay on the premises before the landlord can take legal action to evict them from the property.
