The Michigan 1-month notice to quit is a lease termination letter that enables a landlord to end a month-to-month tenancy without cause. When terminating the tenancy, the landlord must provide the tenant with notice at least one (1) month in advance. Tenants that continue to occupy the premises after receiving one (1) month’s notice may have an eviction complaint filed against them by the landlord.
