The Michigan 1-month notice to quit is used by a landlord to end a month-to-month tenancy without cause. The landlord must provide the tenant with notice at least one month in advance of the next payment date. Tenants who continue to occupy the premises after the notice period expires may have an eviction complaint filed against them.
