The Michigan 1-month notice to quit for tenants is served on a landlord to provide notice that a tenant’s month-to-month rental agreement is going to terminate by the subsequent rental period. The tenant is allowed to end their tenancy for any reason provided that one (1) month’s notice is given to the landlord. Landlords can likewise terminate the tenant’s lease if they so desire but must instead serve the individual a Lease Termination Letter for Landlords.
