The Nebraska 7-day notice to quit for non-payment is delivered to a tenant who has failed to pay rent on time. The notice informs the tenant that they have seven (7) days to either pay the amount owed to the landlord or vacate the premises. Nebraska law does not provide tenants with a grace period for rent payments. Therefore, the landlord may serve this notice immediately following the due date. If the tenant neither provides payment nor vacates within the allotted time frame, the landlord may terminate the rental agreement and proceed with an eviction lawsuit.

Laws § 76-1431(2)

Rent Grace Period (§ 76-1414(3)) – No grace period. Rent is due at the time and place agreed upon in the rental contract.
