The Oregon 24-hour notice to quit gives a tenant notice that their lease is terminated because they have engaged in illegal activity on the landlord’s property and gives them twenty-four (24) hours to vacate the premises. Examples of actions that warrant this notice include physical violence against another individual, prostitution, theft, and the sale or production of illegal drugs. The tenant must comply with the notice by moving out within twenty-four (24) hours or face legal action from the landlord.
