How to Write
While the letter requirements for each school are different, most will expect the following information:
- Motivations – Applicants should explain their reasons for wanting to become a nurse and why they have chosen the school they’re applying to.
- Experience – If applicable, applicants should detail any experience or volunteer work related to nursing, such as volunteering at a nursing home, shelter, or healthcare non-profit abroad.
- Personal qualities and skills – The candidate’s relevant qualities and skills should be provided as well, with examples.
