The Massachusetts motor vehicle (RMV) power of attorney grants limited power to an agent to act on behalf of a vehicle’s owner and complete vehicle-related tasks. The primary vehicle owner (also known as the “principal”) must provide their date of birth, Social Security number, and signature. The vehicle identification number (VIN), year, make, model, and odometer reading must be provided as well. The agent may perform tasks such as titling, licensing, registering, and transferring the ownership of the vehicle without the presence of the owner.

Signing Requirements  –  Not mentioned in state statutes; Notary Public acknowledgment is recommended.
