A North Dakota motor vehicle power of attorney is a limited power of attorney that grants an agent the power to perform specific vehicle-related tasks for the principal. However, the agent will only be authorized to act on behalf of the principal with regard to the vehicle described in the document, and only this particular vehicle. A description of the vehicle must be provided along with the odometer reading and unique VIN number. If the vehicle power of attorney is properly executed, the agent will be able to license, register, title, or perform other similar assignments in connection with the principal’s vehicle.
