Arizona Roommate Agreement

An Arizona roommate agreement allows a group of individuals who share the same residence to create a list of rules and responsibilities that will govern household management. Unlike a lease agreement, the document is between roommates only and does not involve the landlord. However, the agreement cannot be in contravention of the lease and will usually reinforce its terms (utility payments, disturbing the peace, unapproved occupants, etc.). Common provisions include the division of cleaning duties, rent, and expenses, as well as rules regarding overnight guests and prohibited behavior.
