Disclosure of Landlord’s Criteria

Applicants must be given the landlord’s criteria for rejecting lease applications before they provide any of their information, including the following:

  • The types of information accessed during the screening.
  • Criteria that may result in the denial of their application.
  • The name and address of the consumer reporting agency if one is used.
  • The applicant’s right to obtain the consumer report.
  • If the landlord will accept a reusable tenant screening report made by a consumer reporting agency.[1]
